he new internet site (www.ijvm.org.il) continues to be more and more appealing to Israeli and overseas readers. The journal’s visibility has improved and hopefully with the publication of quality articles, our citation index will improve. This issue contains a number of interesting articles which I am sure will be of interest to our readers. I am happy to see that the journal is well represented by our Turkish colleagues who have contributed a number of interesting articles. The Israeli contribution continues to be significant: Dr. Yaron Bruchim’s review article on canine heatstroke is being published just as we go into summer and I recommend this article to all practicing veterinarians who as in previous years are bound to encounter a number of these cases during our hot summer months. Two case reports on infectious diseases appearing in this issue are of special interest: Dr. Erez Bitton and colleagues present an interesting case of Hepatozoonosis in a dog with skeletal and joints involvement. Dr. Itzik Lenchner and colleagues present an original case of concurrent leptospira infection and Ehrlichia canis infection in a dog. I recommend both these articles to our readers. After a prolonged spring, summer now seems to be on its way. I take this opportunity of wishing all our readers a pleasant and safe summer. I am sure many of our readers will be going on holiday and attending conferences all over the world. Wishing you all safe travels and successful conferences.
